Songs of Praise, Enlarged Edition, 1931
From Oremus Hymnal
While not strictly for church use, this hymnal for schools was so widely used in English schools and became so identified with Anglican music, that it would be impossible to leave it out of this survey. This is the enlarged edition of 1931, still in print, edited by Percy Dearmer, Martin Shaw and Ralph Vaughan Williams. The original edition appeared in 1925.

Summer suns are glowing
The summer days are coming again

Come, ye thankful people, come
Fair waved the golden corn

When spring unlocks the flowers
Sunday
Most glorious Lord of life, that on this day
This is the day the Lord hath made
Morning
At thy feet, O Christ, we lay
i Awake, my soul, and with the sun
ii Glory to thee, who safe hast kept
iii Wake, and lift up thyself, my heart
Christ, whose glory fills the skies
Come, thou bright and morning star
Father, we praise thee, now the night is over
Forth in thy name, O Lord, I go

Now the morn new light is pouring
O splendor of God's glory bright
So here hath been dawning
The splendors of thy glory, Lord
When virgin morn doth call thee to arise
Ye clouds and darkness, hosts of night
You that have spent the silent night
Behold us, Lord, a little space
Blest are the moments, doubly blest
Evening
And now the wants are told, that brought
At even, ere the sun was set
Behold the sun, that seemed but now
Creator of the earth and sky
