Morning
i Awake, my soul, and with the sun
ii Glory to thee, who safe hast kept
Brightly, O Father, when morning is breaking
Christ, whose glory fills the skies
Every morning mercies new
My God, I praise thee for the light returning
New every morning is the love
Now morning lifts her dewy veil
Now that the daylight fills the sky
Now when the dusky shades of night retreating
Now with the rising golden dawn
O Jesus, Lord of heavenly grace
Once again to meet the day
Once more the daylight shines abroad

Mid-Day
Almighty Ruler, God of truth
See the sun high heaven ascending
Thy love for all thy creatures
When at midday my task I ply

Afternoon
As now the sun's declining rays
Before the ending of the day
Behold the sun, that seemed but now
O God, unchangeable and true
The radiant morn hath passed away

Evening
Abide with me; fast falls the eventide
Again, as evening's shadow falls
Almighty God, thy throne above
At even, ere the sun was set
Creator of the light supreme
Ere the waning light decay
Father, by thy love and power
Glory be to thee, my God, this night
God, that madest earth and heaven
Hear our prayer, O heavenly Father
Heavenly Father, by whose care
Holy Father, cheer our way
Lord of my life, whose tender care
Now God be with us
Now sinks in night the flaming sun
O Brightness of the immortal Father's face
O God of all the strength and power
O Lord, who by thy presence hast made light
O Savior, bless us ere we go
Savior, again to thy dear name we raise
Savior, breathe an evening blessing
Source of light and life divine
Sun of my soul, thou Savior dear
The day departs
The day is gently sinking to a close
The day is past and over
The day, O Lord, is spent
The shadows of the evening hours
The sun is sinking fast
Through the changes of the day
Through the day thy love has spared us
When evening shadows gather

Morning or Evening
As every day thy mercy spares
Star of morn and even
Sweet is the morning light to me

Midnight
Glory to thee, in light arrayed

Sunday
As thou didst rest, O Father
Hail, holy rest, calm herald of that day
Hail, sacred day of earthly rest
Now the six days' work is done
O day of rest and gladness
On this, the holiest and best
This day the light of heavenly birth

This is the day the Lord hath made
Thou glorious Sun of righteousness
Ere another Sabbath close

Hymns on the Creation
When o'er the waters' misty deep
The earth in robes of light arrayed
With azure girdle circled round

The last great day of work had come
And now, mid myriad worlds enthroned

Week Days
Behold us, Lord, a little space
O Lord, it is a blessed thing
Yesterday with worship blest
Another day begun

Ascended Lord, accept our praise
O Jesus, crucified for man
Sabbath of the saints of old

The Lord be with us as we bend

The Seasons
For all thy love and goodness, so bountiful and free
The springtide hour
Summer suns are glowing
The year is swiftly waning
Winter reigneth o'er the land

Advent
Again the Church's year hath run its round
Cast away the works of darkness
God cometh, let the heart prepare
Hark, a thrilling voice is sounding

I saw and, lo, a great white throne
Lo, he comes with clouds descending

Brightest and best of the sons of the morning
From the eastern mountains
Hail, thou source of every blessing

No, not despairingly

Nearer, O God, to thee! Hear thou my prayer
No change of time shall ever shock
No sorrow and no sighing
Not by the martyr's death alone
Not unto us, almighty Lord
Now thank we all our God
O blessed life, the heart at rest
O Christ, the Light of heavenly day

O God, thy grace and blessing give
O God with us, the Savior
O happy band of pilgrims
O help us, Lord! each hour of need
O highest Love, in lowliest guise
O Holy Ghost, thou God of peace
O holy Lord, content to dwell
O Holy Savior, Friend unseen
O how long, how long?
O Jesus, I have promised
O Jesus, King most wonderful
O King of kings, before whose throne
O Light, whose beams illumine all
O Lord, how happy should we be
O Lord, how joyful 'tis to see
O Lord, in all our trials here
O Lord, thy heavenly grace impart
O love, how deep, how broad, how high
O my people, O mine own
O my Savior, lifted
O praise ye the Lord! praise him in the height

Tis for conquering kings to gain
Toiling in the path of duty

Try us, O God, and search the ground
We all had sinned and gone astray
We saw thee not when, far away
We sing the praise of him who died

When Jesus came to earth of old
When my love to Christ grows weak
When our heads are bowed with woe

Hymns for Children and School
Day by day we magnify thee
O God, who when the night was deep
The morning bright
And now another day is gone
Now the day is over
O Lord, who when thy cross was nigh
The hours of school are over
Above the clear blue sky
All things bright and beautiful
Brightly gleams our banner
* Come, Holy Spirit, come; O hear my lowly prayer
Come, praise your Lord and Savior
Fair waved the golden corn
Gentle Jesus, meek and mild
God of mercy, throned on high
Great God, and wilt thou condescend
Heavenly Father, send thy blessing
Little drops of water
Once in royal David's city
Saw you never, in the twilight
Suppliant, lo, thy children bend
There is a green hill far away
There's a Friend for little children
We are but little children weak
We are little Christian children
We praise thee, O our God, to thee
We were washed in holy water
Youthful days are passing o'er us

The National Anthem
God save our gracious Queen

Visitation of the Sick; and Private Use
A day of work is done
Ah, my dear Lord! what couldst thou spy
Death shuts the gates of paradise
Jesus, high in glory
Drop, drop, slow tears
Father, thy will, not mine, be done
For mercy, Lord, I cry
God moves in a mysterious way
Go, when the morning shineth
Hear me, O God
He sendeth sun, he sendeth shower
Holy Bible, book divine
In the hour of my distress
In the mid silence of the voiceless night
I wish to have no wishes left
Leaning on thee, my Guide, my Friend
Long did I toil, and knew no earthly rest
Lord, it belongs not to my care
Make me holy, O my Savior
My God and King, to thee
My God, I thank thee, who hast made
O for a closer walk with God
O Lord, my God, do thou thy holy will
O Paradise, O Paradise
O thou that sitt'st in heaven and seest
O for the faith that knows no doubt
One by one the sands are flowing
Prayer is the soul's sincere desire
Some murmur when their sky is clear
So tired, I fain would rest
Source of my life's refreshing springs
Submit yourself to God and you shall find
The leaves around me falling
The seas are quiet when the winds give o'er
The shades of night have banished day
Thou hidden love of God, whose height
We know not, O, we know not
When the spark of life is waning
Who has this book and reads it not
Why should we faint and fear to live alone
Wish not, dear friends, my pain away
With years oppressed, with sorrows worn
Not now, my child
Teach me to live
